Roogoo Card Types

Roogoo Card is a prepaid card, not a credit card, and does not have overdraft functionality. Users need to top up before spending and can only use the card balance. Please ensure you have sufficient balance in your card before making purchases. When using your Roogoo card for purchases, ensure your Roogoo account balance is at least 3% higher than the payment amount, as each payment requires: Total Amount = Payment Amount + Processing Fees, which include commission fees. Insufficient balance will result in payment failure.

Card Deposits and Balance Transfer

Roogoo does not support fiat currency deposits or deposits. To top up your card, you first need to deposit USDT to your Roogoo platform funding account, then transfer the USDT balance from your asset account to your card. Similarly, card balances can be transferred back to your asset account.

Card deposits and balance withdrawals are not processed in real-time and may take a few minutes. Large deposits and withdrawals may take longer due to bank verification. Please confirm that the deposit has been credited before making any purchases.

For detailed instructions, please refer to: Card Top-up and Balance Transfer

About Transfers

Roogoo Card can only be used for purchases and merchant payments, and does not support transfers (such as top-ups or transfers between banks, WeChat, or Alipay). However, users can bind their card to third-party payment platforms (such as Alipay, WeChat, PayPal, etc.) to make payments or "transfers" by scanning QR codes.

When will my refund be credited?

The card provided by the platform is an international card, and refunds are not processed in real-time. During the refund process from the merchant to the bank and Roogoo, a settlement process is required. Once the refund is completed, it will be credited directly to your card balance.

If a payment fails when using your Roogoo card and your account is charged, the merchant will automatically refund the transaction and you will receive the refund. The refund processing time depends on the bank's processing time, typically 1-7 business days, but may take up to 7-21 business days in some cases.

Once the refund is credited, it will appear in your transaction details.

Why is my transaction status "Settling"?

The "Settling" status indicates that the bank and merchant are processing the fund transfer. International card cross-border payments require time to complete the interbank settlement process.

International card cross-border payments involve multiple factors:

  • The merchant needs to confirm receipt of payment or completion of service before final settlement

  • The platform is reconciling with payment institutions to ensure transaction amounts are accurate

  • Many platforms have fixed settlement cycles (such as T+1, T+3, T+7, T+21), during which transactions show as "Settling"

  • For certain transactions, the platform may need to conduct risk reviews to verify transaction legitimacy

Therefore, transactions typically complete within 1-21 days.

Why am I seeing small charges and refunds in my statement?

International card cross-border payment settlement cycles are typically 1-21 days, and exchange rates are determined on the settlement date. Due to exchange rate fluctuations, small additional charges or refunds may appear to cover exchange rate differences.

About Cross-Border Exchange Rates

Roogoo Card uses real-time bank exchange rates for settlement, very close to Google-quoted rates (±0.2-0.5%), transparent and public with no hidden fees.

Small-amount transactions may show rate display errors due to calculation precision, which is normal. For example, if the CNY to USD rate is 0.1412, converting to USD to CNY rate shows 7.0821 (statement display rate). If you pay 29.69 CNY, the actual calculation is 29.69*0.1412=4.192228 USD. Banks round to 2 decimal places, so the actual settlement amount is $4.20.

Transaction Failures

  • Insufficient card balance causing transaction failure

    • Make sure to confirm the card deposit is credited before making any purchases.

    • It is recommended to ensure that your balance is at least 3%-5% higher than the purchase amount when making a transaction. Please avoid depleting your entire balance, as this could result in insufficient funds to cover transaction fees and cross-border fees, leading to failed transactions. If your card has lifetime or trial 0% fee benefits, the bank will still deduct transaction fees and cross-border fees first, and then refund the related fees based on the benefits, so make sure your balance exceeds the purchase amount by 3%-5%.

    • For payments using Alipay or WeChat in China, ensure that your balance is at least 8% higher than the purchase amount, as transactions over 200 CNY will incur an additional 3% fee by Alipay or WeChat.

  • Triggering bank MCC risk controls - if the receiving merchant is flagged as high-risk by banks, or the transaction is defined as high-risk, banks will reject transaction authorization, causing failure

  • Please avoid frequent refunds, failed transactions, and payment cancellations. If your refund and transaction failure rate exceeds 20%, your card may be frozen and deleted. To prevent malicious refund behavior, a 3% processing fee will be charged for voluntary refunds. Please avoid frequent refund operations. If your card is frozen or deleted, contact Roogoo customer service to reset your account card status and reapply for a new card.

Card Freezing and Cancellation Risks

Issues with Apple Pay and Google Pay Binding

  • Enjoy Life Card supports Apple Pay and Google Pay. Most users can bind Apple Pay and Google Pay. For users unable to bind, we recommend changing your Apple ID. We will also change the Enjoy Life Card's BIN to better support Apple Pay and Google Pay. For users holding cards starting with 539578, we recommend applying for new cards. If you don't want to continue using your original card, please spend the remaining balance.

  • Enjoy Life Card does not support App Store subscription purchases.

  • Unlimited Card currently supports Google Pay but not Apple Pay (expected to support in Q4 2025).

If you want to continue using the 539578 card BIN, we will contact the upstream bank for manual activation. View detailed instructions.

Card Cancellation

We do not recommend users cancel their own cards. Card cancellation takes 1+ months, does not refund activation fees, and requires deducting cashback amounts. We recommend users spend their card balance completely and simply disable the card.

About Subscription Purchases (Including AI, Telegram, and Other Product Subscriptions)

ChatGPT and similar merchants have complex and frequently changing risk control conditions involving user account controls, IP controls, and multiple factors, causing failure probability for any card paying these merchants. Roogoo cannot guarantee successful payment for X Premium (Twitter membership), AI tools, or other merchants with strict multi-factor risk controls.

Therefore, we do not recommend users use Roogoo cards for subscription purchases, but they can be used for one-time payment scenarios.

Reminder: For subscription payments, ensure sufficient card balance to cover subscription fees and all processing charges. If multiple deduction attempts fail, your card may be frozen by banks and cannot be unfrozen. You may also be blacklisted by merchants, making the card unusable. Please cancel subscriptions for unused services promptly.
