Additional Fees
For single transactions exceeding 200 RMB, WeChat/Alipay currently charges a 3% additional fee for foreign bank cards. This fee is charged by WeChat/Alipay. Please pay attention to WeChat/Alipay prompts during payment to avoid losing processing fees.
Limits
Roogoo Card has no limits, but Alipay and WeChat Pay currently impose payment limits for foreign cards: $1,000 per transaction, $50,000 annual limit.
Card Addition or Binding Failure
WeChat/Alipay has limits on the number of foreign currency cards that can be bound. Alipay clearly indicates that a maximum of 5 foreign currency cards can be bound. WeChat does not have explicit regulations. If you encounter network anomalies or other issues when binding cards, you can contact WeChat/Alipay customer service for consultation. It is also recommended to unbind foreign currency cards or U-cards that are not frequently used, and try binding again later.
If you encounter "unable to add" or "binding failed" prompts when adding Roogoo Card to WeChat/Alipay or Apple Pay, please confirm that your WeChat/Alipay or Apple Pay real-name information matches the card's KYC name (pinyin consistent). Special attention: For Chinese residents with names containing "Lü" (吕,闾,侣,旅,绿,律,彔,虑, etc.), "Nü" (女, etc.), the letter "ü" should be converted to "YU"; for "Lüe" (略, etc.), "Nüe" (虐, etc.), the letter "ü" should be converted to "U". Ensure card information is correct when binding, including surname/given name, card expiry date, CVV code, etc.
If WeChat or Alipay prompts that your account currently doesn't support adding international bank cards, this is due to risk control measures on your WeChat/Alipay account (such as suspicious transfers or violations leading to restrictions). This prevents adding any international bank cards. Please follow WeChat/Alipay requirements to lift account restrictions first. This issue is not caused by Roogoo Card.
If WeChat or Alipay prompts you to upload a card photo, please upload a screenshot of the card information, but remember not to show the CVV code, otherwise it may cause card information leakage and lead to unauthorized card charges.
WeChat or Alipay Payment Failure
If WeChat/Alipay payment fails, first confirm your Roogoo account balance exceeds the payment amount. If it occurs repeatedly, unbind the card from the payment tool and rebind before trying again.
WeChat/Alipay Payment Limits
WeChat Pay/Alipay have payment limits for all foreign cards: $1,000 per transaction, $50,000 annually. Dynamic limits may also apply - refer to actual WeChat Pay/Alipay notifications.
If limits are insufficient, consider applying for additional cards.
WeChat/Alipay currently implement dynamic limits for foreign cards, adjusting payment amounts based on transaction patterns. Specific limits are not disclosed, nor calculation methods. If you encounter limit notifications during payment, try again after midnight the next day or reduce transaction amounts. WeChat and Alipay limits are currently independent but may merge due to policy requirements. Please contact WeChat/Alipay customer service for details.
